This is really powerful, but part of me wonders what they are suggesting we do about it. It’s absolutely disgusting that people are doing this, but I don’t think sending in our military or something would be a positive solution. I just… I don’t know what to do about it. We can control things that happen in our home country much easier than things that happen in Congo. I dunno. I guess we can donate money to help the rape victims, but most of that goes to treatment services for the rape survivors. Which is obviously a really good thing, but still doesn’t stop people from raping other people.
Sigh. The world is fucked up.
